about

My name is Matt. I'm an interactive designer, and I make things move. I'm not an Animation/Illustration major although I have a great love for animation, but a Digital Media Art major. I find animation fascinating, and physics even more so. This blog was created for Art 123 - Physics of Animation at San Jose State University.

I'm not an Animation/Illustration major, so my work in that field is limited, but I have taken a few of the introductory courses. These are all from Art 28 - Introduction to Animation/Illustration.

My major is Digital Media Art. Before transferring to San Jose State and changed my major to art, I previously had studied Computer Engineering for three years; two at my local community college and one at Cal Poly SLO. Having completed three years of engineering I took all my core physics up to, and including, modern physics, as well as handful of other engineering/science related courses. Art-wise I've taken all my core studio classes, Art 28 and Art 51 for animation courses, some RTVF courses, and my major courses. I've been working as an interactive designer for Disney since 2007, and will pursue my career at Disney after I graduate this spring.
